• Dr. Shahram Namjoy Nik (Dr Nik) completed his high school education in Long Island, New York. Following his general dental degree, he pursued an MSc in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Manchester Dental School under the guidance of Professor Rood.

He then spent three years in clinical training and research under the mentorship of Dr. Quayle, Dr. Eldridge, and Dr. Smith. In 1998, he earned a PhD in Implant Surgery and Prosthetic Implantology from the University of Manchester.

During his academic training, he placed more than 800 dental implants, ranging from routine procedures to highly complex surgical and prosthetic cases. To date, he has successfully placed over 10,000 implants.

Dr. Nik spent over a decade teaching and conducting research in implantology at dental faculties and research centres. He is also one of the original designers of modern dental implants in the UK, developing innovative and proprietary techniques in the field.

He has extensive experience managing complex cases, having treated patients ranging from 12 to 90 years old. His advanced treatments include various types of bone grafts (such as chin and hip grafts), alveolar nerve repositioning, and sinus augmentation techniques. He also performs dental implant placements, orthodontic anchorage implants, and extra-oral implant procedures.

Patients with systemic conditions such as oligodontia, ectodermal dysplasia, and scleroderma have been successfully treated with implants under his care. Dr. Nik has pioneered unique surgical techniques for implant placement, bone reconstruction, and soft tissue grafting.

He is a well-regarded speaker and educator, having delivered lectures and training programs for dentists in the UK and abroad.

Today, Dr. Nik continues to introduce cutting-edge concepts in implantology. His forward-thinking approach not only leads to better treatment outcomes for patients but also greater professional satisfaction for dentists delivering high‑quality care.

Our educational programs are designed to help modernise and enhance clinical implant services, empowering treatment centres with up-to-date knowledge and techniques.

  • Dr Iman holds a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Manchester, where my dissertation focused on developmental biology. During this time, He also completed a summer internship at the University of Oxford, gaining valuable research experience.

For over five years, he worked as a Regulatory Affairs Officer at S&S Biomat Ltd, a British dental implant manufacturing company, where he was responsible for key aspects of manufacturing compliance and regulatory documentation. This role gave him unique insight into implant design, production, and regulation.

Later, he graduated from the University of Leeds Dental School and is currently completing a Master’s degree in Clinical Periodontology, which is his primary professional interest.

In addition to his clinical training, he is a co-author of the published paper“Evaluation of the Effect of Adipose Tissue-Derived Stem Cells on the Quality of Bone Healing Around Implants”, highlighting my ongoing commitment to research in implant dentistry and periodontology.

His combined background in biochemistry, dentistry, and periodontology provides him with a strong foundation for both evidence-based clinical practice and advancing dental science.
